MOBILE APPLICATIONS

Hello and welcome to lalalanguage blog!

Today we are going to talk about a new trend - mobile learning.

So, first of all - mobile apps. They have turned language learning into a fun game. You can now learn English and other languages with the help of your favorite TV shows and songs, communication with native speakers, funny quests, memes and pictures from horror cartoons. This does not require a lot of time - you can just use the minutes that you stand in queues or spend on public transport. We can learn across different contexts, locations, social things - as we engage in different social activities.

As mobile learning becomes more and more prevalent, we must find effective ways to leverage mobile tools in the classroom.

As always, the tool must fit the need. Mobile learning can create both the tool and the need. With safe and specific structures, mobile learning tools can harness the excitement of technology with the purpose of effective instruction. Using QR codes for instruction is one example of this. QR stands for Quick Response. It's basically a quick, scannable barcode-like image that takes you to a specific digital destination.

As a teacher you can create QR for linking students to examples of quality work, whether it's PowerPoint or slideshare for a class presentation, or people speaking a foreign language specific to your current lesson.
Or you can make learning stations! Put codes in different areas of the room that will take students to different online activities, videos or content.
You can also visually confirm when students are checking their work and can also check in to see how they are doing. This will help track individual learning and can provide an opportunity for you to facilitate student reflection.
Using such codes is great for compiling research or creating interactive labs or dissections

The next tool - online-flashcards! Quizlet is a free service that makes it easy to memorize any information that can be presented as learning cards. All that is required is to find in the database or create interactive material - your own cards, adding pictures and audio files to them, and then performing exercises and playing games to remember this material.

This is my example of using Quizlet - i learn new spanish words with it.

And the last one - augmented reality (AR). It is an interactive experience of a real-world environment where the objects that reside in the real world are enhanced by computer-generated perceptual information, sometimes across multiple sensory modalities, including visual, auditory, haptic, somatosensory and olfactory. you can use it for different activities.

Wikiversity

Hi there! Today I'm going to talk about  Wikiversity Wikiversity  is a  Wikimedia Foundation  project devoted to  learning resources ,  learning projects , and  research  for use in all  levels , types, and styles of education from pre-school to university, including professional training and informal learning. It differs from Wikipedia in that it offers tutorials and other materials to facilitate learning, rather than an encyclopedia; like Wikipedia, it is available in many languages.  One of the elements of Wikiversity is the collection of WikiJournals, which publish peer-reviewed articles in a stable, indexed, and cited format comparable to academic journals; they can be copied to Wikipedia and are sometimes based on Wikipedia entries. As of November 2020, there are Wikiversity sites operating in 17 languages, containing a total of 123,964 articles and 1,186 recently active editors. GOOGLE FOR EDUCATION

Hello and welcome to my blog!  Today we are going to talk about useful Google services for education. Most of the services are presented in the form of web applications, which can be used with an Internet connection and a web browser only. Thus, it is possible to access your data without being tied to one device, from anywhere in the world. I think most of you are familiar with some of the Google tools. It is difficult to find an Internet user who has never used Google search or watched Youtube videos. But it seems to me that not everyone knows that Google also offers a large number of other tools that can be effectively used in learning. They are all free, reliable, and easy to use. Google Drive is a data warehouse where you can place text, images, photos, audio, video, presentations, and so on. If you use Google Drive as part of Google Apps for Education, then you will not have restrictions on the amount of stored files, which is quite convenient, since you do not need to ...
